Black and White Printing

Today I had my induction to B+W printing, which at first was tricky to get used to exposure time and grade numbers but after a few practices of testing strips it got much clearer.

- Grade 2 - F5.6

Today I learnt how to control the density and composition of my prints as well the contrast and brightness (Grade 3 +5) 

However, there were times were I did double expose my print, but in my opinion I quite liked the effect on the print. - For example; 

Difference between grade and exposure time

Grade 2 - 20 secs F8

- low tone

- not as sharp 

Grade 3 - 12 secs - F8 - FINAL PRINT

- More contrast and effect 

- sharper tone
