Deconstructing Framework

In todays seminar I was given a task to analyse an image by Photojournalist Dorothea Lange called 'Migrant Mother' (Florence Owens Thompson) whom was Photographed during the great depression in 1936.

Going deep into the analysis and meaning of this image, I came to the conclusion that her gaze portrays she's in deep thought and due to her posture and body language its more hard hitting as she is not distraught.
The fact the image is in black+white gives a sense that theres 'no colour in their lives' (Mother and children's)
